SALWACO MD Continues Nationwide Assessment Tour With Visit to Kabala

Day Two of Nationwide Tour Focuses on Staff Engagement and Project Evaluation in Koinadugu District

The first female Managing Director of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO), Ing. Tiideni Hawa Jabbi has continued her nationwide assessment and familiarization tour with a visit to the Kabala Station in the Koinadugu District.

During this second-day engagement, the MD held productive discussions with the Station Manager, Ing. Muctarr Kamara and staff members to share her corporate vision and 100-day assumption of office plan while also addressing operational challenges and priority needs.

The Director of Operations, Ing. Abdul Ben Lebbie, introduced the MD to the Kabala station staff and emphasized that the nationwide tour is a key initiative to strengthen operational efficiency and ensure that all stations are aligned with the MD’s vision and strategic objectives.

Accompanying the MD were the Chairman of the SALWACO Board, Mr. Joseph Joe Ndanema and Board Member, PC Amy Tator Kallon Tibbie II, who participated in discussions on enhancing service delivery and addressing pressing concerns within the district.

The Director of Project Management, Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally provided updates on the Kabala Water Supply Project, assuring the community that the facility will soon be completed. He highlighted that the project is part of the Six Towns Water Supply Project, funded by the Government of Sierra Leone.

Contractors and consultants involved in the project also provided progress reports and identified key areas requiring attention.

As part of the tour, the MD and her team visited the intake point and water treatment plant in Musaia, where they assessed ongoing work, identified critical issues affecting project progress, and discussed immediate steps for resolution.

The nationwide tour continues tomorrow in Lunsar, Kambia, and Port Loko.
